Legal Aid

The Al-Inaam Foundation created the Legal Aid Programme to provide assistance to people who are unable to afford legal representation and access to the judicial courts system. The provision of access to legal aid is central to ensuring equality before the law, and the upholding of the right to counsel and a fair trial, especially for citizens and refugees that do not have sufficient financial means. Through our Legal Aid Programme, we aim to provide legal representation for free or at a lower cost to those in need.

In Lebanon, Alif utilizes a delivery model for legal aid through makeshift community-led legal clinics, wherein lawyers are available to assist individuals and groups with their cases. General legal advice will be provided through our collaborations with law firms situated in Lebanon, in addition to international organizations that are specialized in providing legal aid.
