Healthcare
At Alif, we believe that access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. The overall goal of the Al-Inaam Foundation Health Programme (AlifHP) is to improve the health of the world’s most at-risk people and ensure that they have access to basic nutrition and medication. Our nutrition initiative under the AlifHP works to prevent malnutrition in at-risk populations, and to ensure that those who do suffer from anemia and vitamin deficiencies can recover to full health. Since the inception of the Al-Inaam Foundation, we have focused our efforts on distributing nutritional supplements, protecting against the effects of infectious diseases, and contributing to the financing of makeshift clinics that provide medications, surgeries, and hospitalization in impoverished areas of Lebanon and refugee camps. We aim to ensure that all that require healthcare in Lebanon, will have access to it.
We are also expanding our initiative to provide monthly informational sessions on different topics related to hygiene best practices, abrogating transmission of infectious diseases, and healthcare. So far, we have held sessions in regions across Lebanon, including impoverished communities and refugee camps, and aim to address more communities.
